The Cape's second oldest town, Yarmouth showcases more than 600 buildings of historic architectural significance. The northern village of Yarmouthport along Rte 6A has the more obvious historic sea captains' homes. Architecturally significant buildings can also be found in South Yarmouth, more readily known for the numerous gift shops, restaurants, motels and attractions which line Rte. 28.
