Billed as "America's Sea Captains' Town," visitors travelling Brewster's Main St. today can still see many of the stately homes and public buildings which were erected by prominent sea captains from the 18th and 19th centuries. Situated at the geographic center of Cape Cod, its eight miles of salt-waterfront along Cape Cod Bay have eight public access beaches offering superb warm water bathing. Its tidal flats are the premier open space in town and a wonderful place to explore.
